Antique wool and silk Flemish tapestry depicts a garden enclosed within an open colonnade with classical stone columns supporting an arched frame and a delicate scrolling leafy floral vine, a flowering vase flanked by large floral arrangements within each opening, the garden with fruiting trees in urns within a rectangular low trellis fence, in the background a dense tree forest around a large house by a medieval church, in a broad light brown border containing a variety of polychrome mythological figures, angels, fruiting and floral sprays, in the lower centre a large blue cabochon stone within a carved shell, narrow shaded blue outer stripe.
