This vintage, circa 1970s, pure silk Qum rug has an ivory field with a dense angular polychrome floral vine around a column of gold panels terminating in paired indigo-blue octogen panels forming open lozenges with tomato-red hooked panels issuing inwards and surrounded by similar angular floral vine, in an ivory border of gold hooked panels enclosing a central tomato-red serrated lozenge surrounded by a hooked ice-blue serrated panel each of the gold panels divided by a tomato-red and ice-blue quartered floral motif between tomato-red linked floral cartouche stripes, minor light-blue and gold reciprocal-skittle-pattern and ribbon stripes. 100% silk foundation and pile.
