This vintage, circa 1980, extremely fine wool and silk Tabriz rug has an ivory field with a delicate polychrome scrolling palmette and floral leafy vine around a central medallion with palmette pendants containing a lime-green panel with a burgundy-red and shaded-pink rosette with dense floral and leafy vine and an outer burgundy-red band issuing polychrome outward facing palmettes, the shaded mole-brown and dusty-purple spandrels with scrolling arabesque and floral vine around a shaded terracotta-red cusped cartouche, in a broad terracotta-red border of meandering polychrome palmette and floral vine between light blue floral vine stripes, plain outer ivory stripe. Extremely fine Tabriz rug made of wool and silk.
