This antique, circa 1900, Khotan rug has a shaded red field with a chocolate-brown key-pattern around six rectangular polychrome panels each containing a large bold angular flowering stem, the arched panel above scattered with smaller flowerheads, in a sandy-yellow border of alternatively facing triangular motifs made of small dots between minor plain stripes.
