This antique, circa 1900, Bezalel rug has a shaded sea-green lower field with a dense angular apricot vine with stellar lozenges around a buff-brown part lozenge, a pair of stylised urns with a large central menorah through the centre, the field above with a sea-blue field with an overall ivory dense vine with a fox-brown curved double arch above and a stellar flowerhead in the centre, the shaded royal-blue border with linked inscription cartouche panels between chocolate-brown and apricot narrow stripes, plain outer chocolate-brown stripe.
