This antique, circa 1910, silk Kayseri rug has a golden-yellow field with a pair of light blue and terracotta linked long lozenges containing various flowerheads and a delicate tendril vine around a central flowerhead, the light blue stepped spandrels with an angular leafy vine surrounded by flowerheads, in an ivory border of delicate linked polychrome flowerheads alternating with a floral motif between light blue floral and ivory and golden-yellow floral motif stripes, plain outer brick-red stripe.
