This traditional hand-woven Persian Lavar Kerman rug has an extremely fine ivory field with an overall pattern of angular cusped lozenges and broad shield motifs, each containing polychrome palmette pendants enclosing flowering vine motifs, with a central row of slate-blue cusped medallions containing lozenges and central rosettes each issuing four palmettes and further palmette vines, in a slate-blue border of dense ivory rust swooping flowering vines, between two vine stripes.
